Moving Into the Things of God

MOVING INTO THE THINGS OF GOD
by Pam Clark (pamclark@prophetic.net)

People are missing it if they think they don’t need the Spiritual gifts (equippings) for the last days. You cannot win a spiritual war without the Spiritual gifts. There is a plan for blessing and a plan for destroying. Have you determined the side you are on? It is a decision.

To mature takes really knowing the Lord, applying yourself to learn (and not just hear). The gifts aren’t a show off arsenal that you rarely use, nor are they just to entertain people. They are and will be life and death in your navigation in life.

The enemy really will and is competing for these gifts with his own “brand” of gifts. Flattery is a tool also of the last days, we are warned about this in Jude v.16 and Daniel 11:32. But people who believe their God will do exploits.

If you don’t know the Plan of God, and if you can’t back things up in your life with His Word, you could get deceived. No one wants that in the Body of Christ, not the real believers.

The hardest place for most believers is learning the gifts or tools of the Spirit. Most take time to learn, with understanding through experience. They will manifest in the places that they are needed as a person walks in the Spirit because they are supernatural gifts.

I Corinthians 12:
4 There are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.
5 There are differences of ministries, but the same Lord.
6 And there are diversities of activities, but it is the same God who works all in all.
7 But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all:
8 for to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, to another the word of knowledge through the same Spirit,
9 to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healings by the same Spirit,
10 to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another discerning of spirits, to another different kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues.
11 But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually as He wills.

First, we need to know that the enemy doesn’t want you to know about them or use them. Then believers will make mistakes because they are learning them. All this is to help them locate in their insides (their hearts or true spirit) the TRUE from the false.

Mixture is very common in the learning days – which brings confusion. The old ways had their own power for navigating and the lack of patience will play in, and people go back and forth. Some choose to go back and some choose to go forward with the Lord.

But there is no, nor will be, just sitting on the fence in this progressing life! You are going somewhere. There is a mind change and a heart change that has to take place. And God is gentle with that and even long suffering. But His Kingdom is sure and it is coming to pass!

How many normal teenagers fail in some way? Well, “teenager” Christians will fail too, but that does not mean we have lost. Our battles prepare us for the days ahead as well as for raising the babes in Christ (which means “the anointing”) that are coming in.

You may be called selfish by some when you start to focus on God more than the other things you used to. But what is leaving is the attention that other people used to get from you! You become more focused on God as you mature. And you will still focus attention on others, but in a different way.

Your heart becomes focused on their real good, what matters, what is more long term than just the fleeting moment. It can be a hard place when your “fellowship” changes. It can feel very lonely. But God is there! And there are great experiences, of significance!

When Christians start walking and working together in their maturity, things will start to change around them. Their power at times will intimidate them by reason of its strength, and that has to be harnessed with His Character or it will blow up on them. People will get upset because they are not in harmony.

People can fool you, (and the enemy is behind that), but it causes you to lean on God more and know Him better. Many have been through a season of betrayals, and many all over have commented about it. But it was a learning season! We have to learn how to go to God with those betrayals and get His instructions.

Most of all we have to beware of pride. If it was a snare for the covering cherub who led the highest worship, it could be for us. Our humility in calling on God, knowing and saying that we need Him, is our help in that.

We overcome by the blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony of faith in Him! (Revelation 12:11)

I have faith that a tree is in my yard and I can go outside and see it. I also have faith that my grass is growing and I don’t necessarily see that so easily but it’s happening. We may call things that we see faith, but maybe it’s really knowledge?

But just as I trust that my grass is growing, and the evidence will be seen, so is faith in God. There is a substance (or foundation of belief) that it will be seen! And things tended do seem to do better than things untended. Jesus said: “Peter, feed My sheep!”

Someone skilled – in life and in the things of God – will do better than someone who is not. But the Plan of God requires everyone. In His camp there are no cliques, no “good old boys” clubs, but the virtue is trust and faith in Him. In His Plan, He is the focus. And when we know the Plan, we can do things better. But because it is so vast, we are still in training!

God has the ministry equipping gifts for a reason! You NEED the teacher, the pastor, the evangelist, the prophet and the apostle and they all should point you to Jesus, along with the other ministries in the Body! We have to SEE this. They get you grounded and prepared for use of the other gifts or equippings of the Spirit.

This is the “season” of the apostle right now. In a large way, because there is a large group of people about at the “same place” in their lives, they are seen more publicly. They have always been there, but God does have seasons of focus – some things He does quietly and some things He does “at large.”

And they have been in training. This is a season of order and for those who have trained and applied themselves to come into their places of assignments and then God has big plans to work with that! He can only go as far as the most obedient people. So we need to be skilled in the Spirit for things to work well.

God can do a big supernatural sign and wonder but if we can’t handle the Kingdom with skill, then it is just a passing phenomenon. We will go gawk at a rock or some object (or person) and then start a club about the rock, and maybe a school about it and maybe even send out some evangelists about it, but do we really get what really happened and what God wants?

Is it producing Godly fruit that remains? Has our relationship with Him developed? We don’t want to make idols, we want to learn how to walk with God! There will be an Enoch generation – those who walk with God and are not – because God took them!

How can we learn about God if we only focus on the anti-Christ? Trust me, God is in control and we need to know that! How can we DO anything productive if we don’t know Him? Sometimes the requirement goes against the flesh. Then we really know that we are choosing!

What is on God’s Heart? Do you know? He really is speaking it to you. He is the proceeding Voice in the cool (or wind) of the day. We can be like children, and we are as we learn. But if we don’t grow up, we can get off the right track. Parents are for a reason. And our ultimate Parent is God.

Kids are cute but adults usually seek real fellowship with adults. And kids do grow up! God is not comparing you with another. He knows what He put in you and He knows what He wants to see. And He doesn’t always tell you first!

But you are His hidden treasure in an earthen vessel. And He is the unlimited Potter, even if we are just the clay in His Hands! Life is more than just mumbo jumbo words, but we NEED the power and presence of the Holy Spirit. Not everyone is saved yet and many have callings to fulfill!

You know, in my early days, I wanted to heal everyone and raise all the dead, I mean, I had it figured out! There was a devil and I wanted him destroyed. (I still do! Smile.) And God did honor a lot of my zeal. But my plan wasn’t all His Plan and I had to learn how to get on board with His. It is more effective.

We are still learning, but it’s why Jesus teaches us to hear the Father and do (and cooperate) with what the Father is doing. Yes, from His position it is a done deal. He has no plans to change. The Plan is in place. We just get to learn how it works!

The faith on our part is to know that even our good days are not good enough from His point of view. He wants even more good for us! And there is more and He has more wonders to perform! And we will enjoy them! It is our cooperation with His Spirit that will mature us.
